The Discover Russia national brand, the Center for Strategic Research (CSR), and representatives of Russian regions and businesses presented Russia's most popular tourist destinations to their Turkish partners
Leading Turkish tour operators noted that the Russian mountain resort could become a new attraction for riders, alongside the already familiar local ski resorts, as well as resorts in Europe and Georgia
"Turkish tour operators are showing a keen interest in Sochi's mountain cluster, as Rosa Khutor's infrastructure surpasses that of many Turkish resorts," explains Vasily Afanasyev, Rosa Khutor's Deputy General Director for International Projects. "We have more modern and high-speed lifts, a more diverse ski area, higher-quality accommodations, and more après-ski opportunities. The flight from Istanbul to Sochi takes less than two hours—the travel time is comparable to flights to local resorts in Turkey, but the level of service is completely different. Summer outdoor activities—eco-trails, camping, toboggan runs, and rope courses—are also very appealing, especially when combined with the opportunity to relax in a comfortable hotel or spa after a day of activity"
Rosa Khutor has already proven its popularity among international visitors. In 2025, the resort welcomed over 14,000 foreign tourists from 100 countries, returning to pre-pandemic levels. The share of visitors from Turkey is still small, but this destination has significant potential for growth
